Really worth a visit...The Association of Tainan Public Hall, close to Wu's Garden was built in 1911. The hall itself contains a lot of information on this area. The Willow House Japanese Restaurant is also here, built in 1934 and seldom used now. Lovely area to walk around and feel the history here and of course enjoy the garden.
Nice Wu Garden in the back ....We looked at two art exhibitions inside the building while we were there: a Japanese painter on the ground floor, and a photography exhibition of major city scenes in the basement. Both, I felt were mediocre art. We came for the gardens in the back, which we found very relaxing. Water features (with fish and turtles) and grass, trees and bushes and various places to sit down and chill out for a while. There are toilets on the ground floor of the Center right as you go in to the right. If you are tired of fighting scooters and languishing at traffic lights, come here for a respite.
Nice place to stayI think it's acceptable that walk to there from train station, it isn't fair away. It's a quiet place to take a rest when you feel tired. You can walk around and take a look the beautiful scenery, paying the attention on the wonderful landscape. Drinking some tasty tea when listening the history of Wuyuan. Sometimes, there will some activity like performance or you can buy some food for the fish! Hoping you enjoy the quiet surrounding feeling of Wuyuan and relax your mind with your family, friends or yourself. But don’t fall asleep because of the relaxed atmosphere!

Historic Building with a small garden in TainanA historic building including a Japanese style wooden building (with tea house inside) and also a small Chinese style pond. Buildings are well maintained and is within walking distance from Chihkan Tower.
Secret garden with sad historyA garden hind in the city. It was a private property but was occupied by the Japanese and a city convention hall was built. However a part of the garden in Chinese style was preserved. There was a pond , a line of old building and an artificial mountain. It surprise me that the artificial mountain is small but there were tunnels that you may play hind and seek there. A place you can relax and visit. Walking distance to the railway station. Open to public as a garden free.
