    Comfy stay

    Traveler rating:4 2017-05

It was my first time to stay in this B&B. Pros 1. The owner is very nice and I feel like home when I got back to the B&B. 2. The design of the B&B is simple and warm where travellers can really feel like home. 3. The breakfast there is tasty and large in portions. 4. The bathroom is clean and spacious. Cons 1. Quite noisy during the stay because the location is at the city centre and I can hear sound even I closed all the windows. Also, you can hear voices from the next door because the wall is thin. 2. The terrance is cute yet very low in privacy. It is not a place where people can wear comfy clothes, sit and drink tea because you will be seen by the neighbours.

Wonderful breakfast in a cozy little B&B

    Traveler rating:5 2017-10

This is a little B&B with a coffee shop tucked in the corner of Tainan old town. The building is renovated from an old town house, decorated in a retro style. The breakfast set is cooked with “heart”. Fresh ingredients, special thoughts go into the combinations, oven warmed bread with a great cappuccino! We would love to stay at the B&B but unfortunately there is no room available. We were told that it’s best to make booking at least two weeks in advance. Will definitely go and try next time. The location is good, walking distance to some sight seeing spots in old town.

Not very good café with not much choice

    Traveler rating:2 2017-01

The setting here is very pleasant - set behind its own little garden, it's bright and cheerful. However, the meal choice is very limited: either an omelet or a sort of sausage-meat quiche. The former is made to order, the second reheated. When it's served, we find that that's the only part that's warm - cold tomato and sweet corn, cold mashed potato, cold broccoli, cold sliced potato. Although they can manage to reheat the quiche, they said they couldn't reheat the rest for us. We had to insist to have some salt and pepper. And all for an expensive NT$250 per dish. On the other hand, they can supply an espresso - quite rare among all the drip coffee of Taiwan's coffee culture. They also do a sort of milk shake - milk mixed up with jam, in my case strawberry. They could do with using the blender some more, and faster, to blend in the fruit - too many lumps of strawberry - but at least they use good quality jam. All-in-all, a big disappointment. (We didn't stay here so can't review the B&B part)

    A welcoming and comfortable stay.

We really appreciated the help when we weren't so sure what to do on our last day in Tainan. Their advice was really helpful. The bed is perfect for a good nights sleep and the room is contemporary and clean. More importantly the room was quiet even though there's a construction site opposite. For breakfast we had the most fantastic coffee with the creamiest froth and an amazing brunch. Sweet lemon flavoured sweet potatoes and rose flavoured carrots with sweet dressing for the salad, an amazing bacon frittata and sweet and cheese breads. It was really a taste sensation that inspired me. I love the quiet area with the CD player and the art table, too. We love IsShoNi.

Cozy and comfortable. Met the most helpful host in Taiwan

    Traveler rating:5 2015-04

Two of us stayed overnight in our 2-day-1-night Tainan trip in mid April. We can feel how warm and detail-minded the host is before we checked in. She sent us a text message and ask for our check-in time, and even eventually we arrived slightly early, she still welcomed us, and gave us a bag of lovely homemade Taiwanese macarons. She is very helpful and gives clear instructions when we ask for transportation information. Our room is on the first floor. It is comfortable and clean. The reading common area is superb, except there is quite a lot of mosquitos. I spend my night to read the magazines (all in Chinese) on a sofa with a well-selected CD playing. However, there are some constructions outside the room in the next morning (around 6am!) and I waked. Then we enjoyed our breakfast/brunch in the downstairs cafe. Food are made to order, yet it is certainly worth to wait when we tried a little bite of the runny omelette. The coffee is nice too, and you may choose different single origin blends if you are a coffee mania. Would certainly recommended to my friends.
