Excellent park for flying kitesGreat park to visit. Popular. Lots of people flying kites. Impressive statues. Worth a visit when in the city of Tainan.
Open and windy; great for kite flyingThis is a park built to commemorate the Goddess Mazu. The park has a gigantic statue depicting how she looked when she was a young and simple lady in human form. The location of the park is next to a waterway leading to the Taiwan straits. The statue is located on a small hill and has a great view. The park was very open and windy, so there were many people flying kites.
A Park For A GoddessLin Mo-Niang is the name of the most worshiped goddess, Ma Zu, in Taiwan. Taiwanese, especially fishermen, believe that the goddess protect them from the sea. The Park is for the honor of the Goddess. It is set at an excellent environment at the sea front. At night, this park offers very good view of the nearby city lights.
