"Beauty Spring" Not-To-Miss When You Visit!
Open-Air Hot Spring with Views of a Lake, Mountains and Starlight
A Little-Known Hot Spring Favorite Among Local People
Introduce
Unlike the mud hot springs in well-known Guanziling, Gueidan Hot Spring in Nanxi District is a weak alkaline carbonic acid spring, commonly known as "Beauty Spring", with clear, odorless water and smooth, shiny skin after soaking in the waters. Compared to the crowded and popular Guanziling, this place is far away from the hustle and bustle and now features many hot spring bathhouses, making it a favorite among many local Tainaners. The open-air hot spring is accompanied by the moonlight and the starry sky when relaxing at night, with the spring waters alleviating the body from exhaustion and the view healing the mind. After the bath, you can take a short rest on the wooden boardwalk by the pool. Many trees and plants are planted in the hot spring area, attracting visitors to stop and take pictures.
Hot springs were discovered as early as the Japanese era and originated from the Guidan River, which was originally a wild stream hidden in a valley riverbed with pristine natural scenery. Only in recent years has it been gradually developed into a hot spring resort area, and a number of hot spring lodges have been set up there. The pH of the hot spring water is between 8.08 and 8.55, and the water temperature is between 31 and 35.5 degrees Celsius. The hot spring is classified as a bicarbonate spring, and according to the research it is a "Beauty Spring" that has a moisturizing effect on the skin, softening the keratin layer and having a therapeutic effect on neuralgia, skin diseases and arthritis.
Guidan Hot Spring Pool is the first government-developed and outsourced public hot spring experience facility in the Guidan Hot Spring Area. There is a foot bath, a pool area available for group bookings and a private bath house for people to experience the excellent waters of Guidan Hot Springs. In addition, the park features walking paths and resting tables and chairs, so after enjoying the hot spring, you can take a break and buy hot food and drinks here to enjoy the relaxing ambience.
