Short stop
It was really hot when we came here. There are some snack vendors, sand and salt carving displays. You can buy salt without iodine. You can reach here by bus! -

A convenient place to go by local bus, the attractions are in view after getting off from the bus
The second time round, this time not alone. Located in the outskirt of Tainan City, getting there by bus is most convenient, although the trip took more than half an hour. Not a scenic bus route but countryside view from halfway to the destination; the 'mountain' is in fact a huge heap of dried sea salt left over by the salt processing plant ! Raw sea salt collected from nearby salt-drying fields and dumped on there as the industry closed, leaving a 'white mountain' for visitors to walk, just about 20 meters high to the top. Nice to take pictures resembling on a snow mountain ! There was nothing else to see apart from shopping in a gift store, and eat by the stalls or in an air conditioned cafe. A stall offered salt-baked local fish, oysters or even crabs, fresh and inexpensive, good for lunch. There is a museum a distance away (one bus stop) about the history of sea salt refining industry, may not worth visiting as one has to wait for the next bus to go back to the city. -

Definitely not a mountain
I am not sure why this is considered an attraction in the first place. The "mountain" itself is not that high -not even deserving to be considered a hill. The steps to reach the top are poorly maintained with many holes. The view from the "mountain"top is disappointing as the surrounding areas are mostly empty lands. When I was here, the salt sculptures in the 2 small exhibition halls were not ready yet. Otherwise they would be another things to view here. -

Salt Hill !
This is one of the tourist bus last stop and also the waiting location for the tourist bus to return back to Tainan Railway Station. The journey was Long and at this location nothing much to see except salt hills and some display made out of salt. It is like sand castle sculpture using Salt. It is Creative and nicely created to display. It is inside a mini-museum layout that shelters the created salt display items. Try walking up to the salt hill but it was very windy and cold. When go to the top, can see the scenery further away. There are some food stalls align in a row selling food and a shop selling local Taiwanese items including food. Maybe can spend the time on other tourist attraction if time is limited for the trip. As the bus trip to this venue is a little far from the Anping area. -
