Dutch singer Martin Hurkens, who impressed Tainan with the world-famous song “You Raise Me Up” in 2020 Tainan City Christmas and New Year Event Series, pays his second visit to Tainan under Mayor Huang Wei-che’s invitation. After completing the required home quarantine, he will soon be ready to meet the excited Tainan citizens.

Mayor Huang Wei-che wishes that the hardship of year 2020 might be swept away by Mr. Hurkens’ touching and inspiring performance, and which can also brighten the upcoming 2021. Mr. Hurkens said he was pleased to visit Tainan again, the warmth and hospitality of Tainan impressed him a lot.

Mayor Huang hopes that Mr. Hurkens is able to enjoy Tainan’s delicacies during his home quarantine with adherence to safety requirements. For this reason, the seasonal “Green Ponkan” and Mayor Huang’s handwritten letter are served as a welcome surprise at the quarantine hotel. Moreover, various special products of Tainan will be served to him in the following days in order to express the warm regards and welcome from Tainan.

Mr. Hurkens will perform in the National Symphony Orchestra’s Jazz concert at night on December 18. There will be more amazing performances to be announced, please stay tuned to further information!
