Evergreen Plaza Hotel (Tainan) is offering the “Taste the World with Thai Buffet for Foodies” for the summer. After research and development, the executive chef team at Taste the World Buffet has incorporated authentic Thai seasoning into local ingredients to come up with a smorgasbord of refreshing, nutritious, and delicious creative Thai cuisine. Mayor Huang Wei-che invites everyone to come and experience the exotic cuisine of Thailand in Tainan.

According to Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che, the many Tainan 400 events held in 2024 so far, starting with the Taiwan Lantern Festival at the beginning of the year, have spurred the continued growth of Tainan’s tourism industry. The city now has 897 hotels and guest houses offering 15,798 rooms. Evergreen Plaza Hotel has been in business for 20 years and is a valued partner of Tainan’s tourism industry. The “Tasting the World Buffet” restaurant serves gourmet cuisine from across the world and is particularly popular with travelers and locals. The latest Thai-themed dishes are like a taste explosion that rockets you straight to Thailand! Everyone is welcome to visit Tainan, stay at Evergreen Plaza Hotel, and enjoy the Thai buffet.

Director-General Lin Kuo-hua of the Tainan City Tourism Bureau stated that the executive chef team of the Taste the World Buffet at Evergreen Plaza Hotel came up with a rich repertoire of delicious limited-edition dishes using authentic Thai spices and special tricks of the trade from restaurants in Thailand. His personal recommendations included “Thai Style Spicy and Sour Seafood”, the appetizing “Steamed Lemon Fish”, the “Fresh Oysters Baked with Red Chili Hollandaise Sauce”, and “Massam Beef Curry” from southern Thailand (voted one of the world’s top 50 foods by CNN). Also on the menu are crowd favorites like “Shrimp Cake”, the Thai-style dessert “Bubur Cha Cha”, and made-to-order “Banana Crepe”, a standard fare of Thai street food. All these great flavors will be available for a limited time from now through to September 15. Traveler palates will be treated to a journey into sour, sweet, fragrant and spicy flavors. After the buffet, they can drop by the nearby Tainan Cultural Center and Barclay Park to check out the back-street cafes and their distinctive desserts. For a late-night snack, head over to Datong Night Market, Datong East Night Market, or Dayi Night Market to enjoy the best of Tainan’s night market street food.

According to the Tourism Bureau, Tainan has more activities planned for the summer. Summer sub-quests for “Tainan 400” include the “Nan Nan Vibes” and “Traversing, Tainan: 400 Years” city exhibition (7/5 ~ 9/1), “We Are Born by the River: Collaborative Notes of Millennium River Basin Culture” (07/09 ~ 10/13), 2024 Tainan International Mango Festival (6/27 ~ 7/13), and 2024 Tainan Summer Music Festival (7/20~21). Please visit Tainan with your friends and families to take part in all the different events on offer, visit all the unique local sights, and try out all the great food.
