Through various social media platforms, IceBank Diary will introduce the charm of Tainan to Southeast Asian audiences, encouraging fans to explore Tainan and increasing the city's visibility in the international tourism market.

Mayor Huang highlighted that this year marks a significant milestone for Tainan with the launch of direct charter flights between Tainan and Thailand, opening a new chapter in international tourism. According to the Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, over 150,000 Thai tourists visited Taiwan as of April this year, solidifying Thailand as one of Taiwan's key tourism markets. Thailand, the second-largest economy in the ASEAN region, has a well-established tourism industry and a vibrant outbound travel market. With similar climate and cuisine, it has become a prime target for Tainan's tourism promotion efforts in recent years. During IceBank Diary's visit to Tainan, they explored the Shueijiaoshe Cultural Park, where the city’s team met with them on set. Knowing the family’s interest in aviation, they introduced them to the AIR Tainan Museum and its unique exhibition areas. The team also presented them with local treats, including turtle cakes from the “Jiulai Fa Pastry Shop,” a pomelo gift box from Madou Farmers' Association, and promotional tourism materials, wishing them a successful trip in Tainan. We believe that with YouTuber IceBank Diary’s shared experiences, the beauty of Tainan will be effectively promoted to Southeast Asia, sparking interest among Southeast Asian tourists.

Lin Guo-hua, Director of the Tourism Bureau of the Tainan City Government, noted that IceBank Diary, a highly influential Key Opinion Leader (KOL) in Thailand with 660,000 subscribers, creates content that spans lifestyle, family, and travel. In 2022, their previous visit to Taiwan generated over 300,000 views. This time, IceBank Diary was specially invited to Tainan for a two-day trip to explore the local ecology, historical culture, and famous street food. The itinerary featured iconic spots like Sicao Green Tunnel, Qigu Salt Mountain, Shueijiaoshe Cultural Park, Yuguang Island, and Anping Old Street. The journey took them from beaches and coastlines to wetlands and the city’s skyline, offering a full Tainan experience. They also indulged in a feast of must-try Tainan dishes, showcasing the city's unique charm and warmth through its attractions, activities, food, and gifts. In order to attract more Thai visitors to Tainan and allow them to immerse themselves in the city’s rich cultural heritage, the city government will continue to enhance its international tourism services and create diverse promotional materials.

The Tainan City Tourism Bureau is committed to nurturing both domestic and international tourism markets by continuously improving hospitality services and environments, participating in exhibitions at home and abroad, and promoting local agricultural products to expand tourism business opportunities and further solidify the city’s brand image. Looking ahead, the Tainan City Government will continue to host a diverse array of engaging tourism events, welcoming both domestic and international visitors to experience the charm of this historic city.
