Tainan City Invites Golden Horse Actress Chen Shu-fang and the “NowYouOn” Team For Diversified Marketing of Tainan Tourism

Introduce
As part of its ongoing efforts to develop the domestic tourism market, the Tourism Bureau of Tainan City Government invited the Golden Horse-winning actress and Tainan’s tourism ambassador, Ms. Chen Shu-fang, as well as A Hsiang and Yong-lie from the famous YouTube team, of “NowYouOn”, to visit Tainan’s attractions and restaurants together. The crossover between film actress, TV celebrity and influencer was used as part of a diversified campaign to showcase the unique charms of Tainan to the national audience.
Mayor Huang Wei-Che said that Tainan is one of the oldest cities in Taiwan. In addition to its rich cultural heritage and historical assets, the fusion of tradition and innovation means Tainan is a city filled with many stories as well. Be it a tour of historical buildings, arts, culture and creativity, religion or local food, Tainan can always provide travelers with the most exciting experience. The heartfelt recommendations of Ms. Chen Su-fang, Tainan’s tourism ambassador, as well as the light-hearted humor of “NowYouOn” will draw the attention of people from all age groups and ethnicities so that they will visit Tainan in person and fall in love with the city. Mayor Huang Wei-che even visited the filming locations in person and presented the guests with Tainan’s local specialties such as dried mango, dried pomelo, the limited edition/historical monument-only “Matsu Milk Puff” and Dongshan Coffee. The gifts will hopefully convey the hospitality and sincerity of Tainan to Chen Shu-fang and the “NowYouOn” team.
Director-General Lin Kuo-hua from the Tourism Bureau of Tainan City said that the film crew visited many of Tainan’s classic attractions including the “Tree of Life” land art installation, at the Qinkunshen Fan-shaped Salt Fields, fresh oysters in Cigu, Jiali’s famous “Sun Quan Ice Shop” traditional ice cream shop, the recently reopened Tainan West Market, and the Bib Gourmand recommended “Po Jeng Tang.” The tourism attractions of Tainan were presented in their full glory, from fantastic seaside views to cultural and creative clusters and local delicacies. Award-winning actress Chen Su-fang won over the audience with her friendly and sincere image. The “NowYouOn” team’s casual and humorous videos proved a hit with younger followers. The latest collaboration brought together the power of traditional film & television with new media. The joint effort and interactions between generations effectively expanded the scope and influence of Tainan in the tourism market.
The Tourism Bureau of Tainan City added that other resources will continue to be integrated to promote the city's brand. Local culture, specialty events and quality travel services will also be added to continue attracting visitors from across Taiwan and overseas looking to experience the cultural heritage and culinary delights of Fucheng for themselves.
